Artbıds app ıs an art auctıon platform for new ınvestors, emergıng artısts and gallerıes

The project's challenge was to disrupt the traditional art auction market by creating Artbids, a digital platform tailored to the nuanced needs of artists, collectors, and galleries. The aim was to bridge the gap between these groups, facilitating a smoother, more engaging transaction process.

Through detailed exploration involving user interviews and empathy exercises, I delved into the lives of Emily, Javier, and Mrs. Agatha. This phase was enlightening, revealing not just the surface-level needs but the deeper motivations driving our personas. It highlighted the critical balance between functionality for artists and galleries, and the discovery and acquisition experience for collectors.
-
This phase was a turning point, where insights transformed into actionable features. For Emily, features like personalized art recommendations and an advanced search mechanism were prioritized. Javier's needs translated into an artist-friendly dashboard for managing listings and tracking sales. For Mrs. Agatha, sophisticated gallery profiles and analytics tools were conceptualized to offer insights into visitor interactions and preferences.

Designing wireframes and prototypes, I iterated extensively, refining user flows and interface elements based on feedback from mock users mirroring our personas. This hands-on phase underscored the importance of flexibility in design thinking and highlighted areas needing refinement, such as the art listing process for Javier, which required simplification for ease of use.

Preparing for delivery, the focus was on finalizing features and ensuring the platform's interface was both engaging and accessible. Although Artbids hasn't been launched, simulated usability testing indicated a positive trajectory towards meeting user expectations.
