The main challenge for the Artbids web app was to translate the engaging and intuitive mobile app experience into a web platform that caters equally well to artists like Javier, collectors like Emily, and gallery owners like Mrs. Agatha. This required adapting user interfaces and interactions to suit larger screens and different user behaviours on desktop environments.

The discovery phase involved a comparative analysis of desktop user behaviors versus mobile app interactions, alongside direct consultations with our personas through virtual focus groups. This approach unveiled distinct expectations for the web app, such as the desire for more detailed art and artist pages from Emily and a more robust dashboard experience for Javier and Mrs. Agatha.

Insights gained were used to define a set of web-specific features and design principles. For Emily, an immersive art viewing experience with high-resolution images and interactive gallery tours was prioritized. Javier's feedback led to the development of a more comprehensive artist dashboard with enhanced analytics. For Mrs. Agatha, tools for virtual gallery exhibitions and event planning were conceptualized to better engage her audience.
